Carla is a contemporary dancer based in Berlin. Additionally her movement repertoire is influenced by her background in acrobatics. With her work she questions the boundaries between both fields and also researches the artistic implementation of political issues.
»In dance there are always moments where my perception shifts completely, I almost lack orientation, but the floor always catches me, which is an intoxicatingly beautiful feeling. I find it interesting to work with movements where each end sets a new beginning, and then to break the resulting flow again. I am also concerned with the thematic component of my dance. How clear and ambiguous movement can be, how movement can be felt in one way and interpreted in another is a very fascinating field of tension for me.«
