Cecilia Bartolino
Cecilia was born in Italy in 1997. She started dancing ballet at the age of five and continued her studies in München, diving into the contemporary word. She then moved to Israel to study and work there. Currently she is based in Berlin and works as a freelance dancer.
»Through dance I can trance and let go of my persona, my ego, how I identify myself in society, the pressure of success. At that moment I do not produce anything. It is like going home, your body is finally connecting to your brain, you feel everything and you realize that you do not need anything more. I can release my grief, connect with my sensuality, strength and pleasure, to heal and surrender. I need to feel my body exhausted enough to feel present, aware of myself but at the same time I feel a sense of alienation while experiencing freedom.«
